The US Open is coming to its final stages! In one of the men’s singles semifinals, Carlos Alcaraz is battling hard to secure a victory against the Daniil Medvedev to secure the second spot in the men’s singles final. Many celebrities, including the former New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, were present at the Arthur Ashe Stadium to watch the semi-final on Friday.
Alcaraz entered the game having won his previous two meetings against Daniil Medvedev but has found himself in trouble at the US Open semi-final. Medvedev won the first two sets 7-6 and 6-1 and is just one set away from sealing a place in the final. But the 20-year-old Spaniard managed to win the third set 6-3.
During the third set, Carlos Alcaraz came back with a break of serve that impressed the legendary quarterback Tom Brady. The Patriots legend, who was in attendance to witness the game in action, went berserk after Alcaraz’s impressive shot. Apart from Brady, the NBA icon Kevin Durant and the Hollywood actress Charlize Theron were also in the crowd to watch the game. Check out the footage attached below.
Nonetheless, Medvedev and Alcaraz are still fighting for the right to play in the final. The winner of this semi-final match will play against Novak Djokovic for the title at the US Open final on Sunday.
Tom Brady will be honored by the Patriots on Sunday

The New England Patriots will open their 2023 campaign with a rough game against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday. During the season opener, the Pats are set to honor Tom Brady, who led them to six Super Bowl victories.
The Pats owner Robert Kraft promised that the ceremony would be a special one on Sunday. “He’s really excited and I’m excited because our fans never really got a chance to say goodbye in a proper way. And we’re going to do something special and unique with him,” Kraft said Thursday night according to ESPN.
Kraft revealed that Brady is bringing 20 members of his family for the special event. Many believe the Pats will retire Brady’s Number 12 jersey at the event, but there is no official news about that. Still, the Pats fans are excited just as owner Kraft to see the special ceremony event honoring their legend.
The 46-year-old former signal-caller spent more than 2 decades in New England and led them to 9 Super Bowl appearances. He is one of the greatest quarterbacks to ever play in the league and now that he’s retired from the game; the Patriots are looking to honor his legacy in New England.
