“An amazing memory for life,” Tom Brady hails German fans’ rendition of John Denver’s iconic song during Bucs’ victory over Seahawks

The NFL is increasingly forcing its way toward a more global audience, and the fixture between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Seattle Seahawks proved just that. Tom Brady-led Bucs met their NFC West counterparts, the Seahawks on German soil at the Allianz Arena, as the prime-time SNF match.
Incidentally, this was the first-ever NFL fixture being hosted on German soil, and boy did it live up to the hype! The German crowd was greeted by a special performance from Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady, who led his side to a much-needed victory.
Brady maintained his record on foreign soil, winning his fourth fixture away from the US in what had turned out to be an extremely captivating atmosphere at the iconic stadium. The Buccaneers came out with an all-important 21-16 victory, to move up to a 5-5 record.

With most of the fans inside the stadium cheering on for Tom Brady, the 45-year-old definitely felt the warmth and love from them, as he duly acknowledged during his post-match press conference. Brady was in awe of the way the fans turned up, especially with their special rendition of John Denver‘s iconic “Take Me Home, Country Roads,” song after the match.
Tom Brady said, “Yeah, that was one of the great football experiences I’ve ever had so says a lot for 23 years in the league for a regular season game the fan turnout was incredible. It felt very electric from the time we took the field, so, at the end of the game, them singing, Sweet Carolina and Country road.”
“That was pretty epic. Everyone was a part of that experience. Got to have something pretty amazing memory for their life. Thank you for hosting us, we appreciate it.”
This proves that the NFL is growing exponentially all over the world and the decision to play matches on foreign soil might just be one of the best ones made by league commissioner Roger Goodell.
