After the horrible defeat at the hands of the New Orleans Saints by a margin of 34-0, Bill Belichick, the head coach of the New England Patriots, made a remark that he wants to start afresh. Of course, the remark sparked a lot of analysts to say it is impossible to start afresh at this level in the league. However, Belichick does not seem a person to listen to their opinions as he said that he has done it before and he would do it again.
In the tough times, Belichick found someone’s back and that person is none other than the legendary quarterback Tom Brady. Brady and Belichick together created ripples for the Patriots as the duo led the team to win six Super Bowl titles. Nonetheless, Brady left for New England and since then Belichick has not won a single Conference title, let alone a Super Bowl.
In the tough times of his ex-coach, Brady supported him. In one of the episodes of the show, ‘Let’s Go,’ Brady said, “I think that he’s got a very consistent approach that he’s always taken and, you know, it’s the right approach. It’s try to prepare the players, give them the best opportunity to succeed.“
“You know, you get out there on the field in the end, the coaches, once the play is called in the players gotta go do it. And it takes a great coaching staff to win. It takes great players to win. It takes great front office support to win.”
Brady also considered Belichick a hot unlucky as he said that results could have been different than what actually happened. He noted, “I think the results are different from what they’ve been, but I know that he’s still got the same work ethic, he’s got the same coaching style. I think the thing that I think as I watch not only the Patriots but a lot of other things, is football’s a hard sport.”
The Patriots and Belichick have a hard road ahead. Hopefully, Brady’s confidence in his ex-coach might start showing results as soon as possible.

The iconic duo of Tom Brady and Bill Belichick
The Brady-Belichick duo is arguably the best quarterback-head coach duo in the history of the NFL. Belichick got the best out of him and Brady became the legend of the game with the help of the maestro’s coaching brilliance. The duo was successful in securing Super Bowls in the years 2002, 2004, 2005, 2015, 2017 and 2019.
Brady left the team after 2019. Since then, the Patriots have not won a single Super Bowl, while Brady went on to win one more Lombardi with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Analysts have raised the point that Belichick is ineffective without Brady. However, the legendary QB does not think in the same line.
