“Complain to the refs like I do,” Tom Brady has a HILARIOUS insight on referees blatantly missing roughing the passer calls

One of the most debated topics to have emerged out of the NFL during the past week has been the referees making poor roughing the passer calls. Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady was one of the more fortunate ones in this regard, as he received judgement on his side during his encounter against the Atlanta Falcons.

Brady was awarded a penalty after Falcons’ defensive lineman, Grady Jarrett threw him to the ground, which led to a penalty and eventually a roughing the passer call.

However, on one other occasion where the quarterback was not so fortunate came during the Kansas City Chiefs and Las Vegas Raiders encounter on Tuesday night, when Chris Jones sacked Derek Carr leading to a controversial call.

This has induced a healthy discussion on the topic and Tom Brady finally decided to weigh in on it. The veteran quarterback had an interesting take on the subject as he defended the referees, making mistakes on the pitch.

“No one wants any missed calls,” Tom Brady said. “There’s a lot of things I see that are probably pretty challenging to officiate, probably pretty challenging to play defense with, so I don’t have the answers to all those. I don’t think the referees are robots, I don’t think they’re trying to get it wrong, I don’t think they’re always gonna get it right.”

“I feel bad for a guy when they get called something that probably shouldn’t be that way. Sometimes you’ve just got to shake it off. I’ve lost super Bowls because I thought they missed a call. You’re going to get some, you’re going to not get some. You hope they don’t come up but they come up. It’s sports.”

Tom Brady also put out his lighter side as he opined that when the referees do miss out on making certain calls, other players can follow his lead launch numerous complaints to the referees.

“It’s just the way sports are. I miss throws, refs miss calls, we try to do the best we can do. When they don’t go your way you just complain to the refs, like I do,” Brady finished off.
