The former Buccaneers QB Tom Brady was once massively criticized for his relationship with former US President Donald Trump. Later in 2022, Brady had to clarify his friendship with Trump in a cover story for Vogue Magazine.

“I think [the press] just mischaracterized a lot,” Brady claimed in his interview with Vogue. “And I’m not responsible for what other people say. I’m really responsible for what I say. So if people want to say things that I said or that I’m about, that’s up to them, and I’m not going to respond to all those things all the time either.”

“This was 17 or 18 years ago,” Brady told Variety about playing golf with Trump. “I was so young. I got to go to a private golf course, I thought it was the coolest thing in the world.”

Furthermore, the seven-time Super Bowl Champion also claimed that he hadn’t talked to Trump in a long time. “No. I haven’t talked to him in a lot of years,” claimed the former Patriots QB.

Nevertheless, Brady recently announced his retirement from playing football at 45 years of age. Post-retirement he is spending a lot of time with his family and recently announced that he will wait till the fall of 2024 to make his debut as a sports broadcaster for Fox Sports Network.
