Tom Brady STRONGLY rumored for a possible homecoming at the New England Patriots for one last season

Tom Brady is in the final year of his contract with the Bucs and there are many reports that suggest that the legendary QB won’t continue with the Tampa Bay franchise anymore. With Brady leaving the Bucs next season, there are rumors of a possible retirement, although the Bucs QB has shown a willingness to play one or more seasons.

Many teams are rumored to be the next stop for the 45-year-old QB, like the 49ers and the Las Vegas Raiders. However, Bill Simmons, a sports columnist based in Boston, has an interesting theory.

Simmons recently featured on the ManningCast and disregarded the possibility of Brady retiring next season. Though he said that the Bucs QB will leave his current team and join his former team, the New England Patriots, for one last hurrah.

“I was talking on my podcast a week and a half ago, I don’t think Brady is going to retire. I don’t think he’s going to be in Tampa next year and I do wonder is there a possibility he could come back next year – a farewell thing. You know how much he means to Bob Kraft. Could this be the way to put a bow on it? Could he come back for one last season?” Bill Simmons stated.

Although, Simmons later agreed that nothing is confirmed now, and it’s just pure speculation at the moment as Brady isn’t speaking to anyone after the terrifying loss against the 49ers.

Tom Brady and the New England Patriots helped each other to create the legacy that they currently have. The seven-time NFL Super Bowl winner won 6 of his titles at the Patriots under the leadership of Robert Kraft and HC Bill Belichick.

According to Simmons, Brady and Kraft shared a great relationship and maybe TB12 would consider a move back at the Patriots for a farewell to the game.

“I think Kraft and Brady have a great relationship,” Simmons said. “And one of the things about Mac Jones, you saw him have that turnover before. This has happened all year with him. He really took a step back this year.”

If Brady was to join the Patriots, then it would be great for both him and the team they are currently struggling with their starting QB Mac Jones who’s looking like a shell of himself from last year, and Brady can provide that short-term stability to the team.

However, everything is pure speculation now as Tom Brady is completely focused on playing his possible last season for the Bucs and trying to make playoffs run with them.
