During 2009-2016, he won another Super Bowl and had 35,136 passing yards, 8x Pro Bowls, and 259 TD passes. His third HOF career included 3 Super Bowls and 3 Super Bowl MVPs. Back in 2022, Tom Brady had announced that he would retire, but made the decision of coming back after just 40 days. So, analyst Colin Cowherd asked the question every NFL fan is dying to know the answer to – Will Brady be back for his second one last time? The 45-year-old appeared on The Herd with Colin Cowherd and talked about his retirement and the opportunities that lie ahead.

“Is there one percent chance you could get talked back into playing?” Cowherd asked Brady. “I think for me I know in my heart how I feel. I played out on the field for 23 years and I’m super proud of what’s been accomplished. I just wanted to keep last week short and sweet and I felt like I’ve given a lot, gained a lot and learned a lot and life is about exciting things ahead too,” the legendary quarterback replied.

That’s a dagger straight to the heart! Tom Brady won’t be back on the field under center anymore. Even in his retirement video on Instagram, he said that he is retiring for good. The 2022 season was a letdown for Brady who had unretire to get one last shot at earning his 8th Super Bowl ring but the Buccaneers were out of sync this year and ended the season with an 8-9 losing record which is a first in Brady’s career.

Cowherd also asked the former quarterback when was the exact moment when he knew it was time to hang up the cleats to which Brady said: “I think the finality of it was last week. The future is very hard to predict for all of us. I mean, nothing’s really guaranteed. But I think you just take it day by day.”

“I think when I think closes like football has for me for 32 years of my life. I look forward to what’s ahead,” Brady added. “There’s new chapters, new exciting things, new growth, new opportunities and I’m really excited for what’s ahead.” The NFL icon who dominated the field during his entire career will now shift into the commentary booth. He signed a 10-year $375 million deal with FOX Sports to be a broadcaster for the network. Brady will begin his broadcasting career in the Fall of 2024.
