Tom Brady has enjoyed a career in the NFL that spans more than two decades. The Bucs QB has won everything throughout his career and achieved enormous feats that some may only dream of.
Brady has thrown for 727 touchdown passes in his career with the playoffs included. However, there’s one touchdown pass that he believes is the most special one for him and it’s from his Patriots days.
The legendary QB featured on the Let’s Go podcast with big A-listers like Tracy Morgan, Adam Sandler, and Bill Burr. When asked about his most memorable TD pass, the QB was quick to reply and stated.
“I tell you, the most memorable one was ‘07 at the Meadowlands, Giants, Week 16,” said Brady. The TD pass by the 7 time Super Bowl winner was a special one as it helped him to break two massive records at the time.
Brady explained the pass with intricate details, “He [Randy Moss] gets behind the defense on like, first down. I throw it, it comes up 5 yards short,” the 45-year-old QB stated. “It would’ve been an easy touchdown. We get to third down, different play call but Randy runs behind the defense, and I threw it about as far as I could. As Brett Favre says, I dropped it in there like a butterfly with sore legs.”
“It literally just (sailed) right into Randy’s hands, and he ran into the end zone for the 50th touchdown pass I threw, which at the time was a (single-season) record.” To sum up the epic pass, Brady just had this to say, “It kind of had everything.”
Tom Brady’s memorable touchdown pass broke two significant records.
Tom Brady released a 65-yard beauty that landed swiftly in the hands of the legendary WR Randy Moss, which helped them both to be in the record books forever.
The TD resulted in two records being broken that day. The first one was Peyton Manning’s single-season TD record, and the second one was Moss’ 23rd TD pass of the season that made him the WR with the most TD passes in a single season to this day.
That was Brady’s prime when he would break records and win titles for his team almost every season, however, things have changed a bit since then as the legendary QB now struggles to find form in the NFL, and the recent beat down to the 49ers is the witness of that.
The Bucs were completely decimated by the 49ers who scored 35 points on them by allowing just 7 from the Brady-led team. TB12 was frustrated after the loss and left the stadium immediately after the match ended as he had just suffered a humiliating defeat in front of all the people he grew up with in California.
The Bucs are currently leading their division with a 6-7 record and will go up against the Bengals to hopefully improve on it. Tom Brady is in the final year of his Bucs contract and will hope to leave the team on a high.
