“Aaron is closer to retiring than TOM is”: Skip Bayless calls Tom Brady’s retirement a sham and hurried decision

Tom Brady is living his best life, recently he teamed up with Aaron Rodgers and competed with Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes in a game of gold dubbed ‘The Match.’ The veterans schooled the youngsters and beat them in the game. In addition to this, both the quarterbacks dropped an unexpected bomb. Rodgers hinted at his retirement and that he considers walking away from the game every single day, Brady, on the other hand, spoke about how he reconsidered his retirement and made up his mind to play another season in the league.
“There are more responsibilities, at this stage, it is 55% yes, and 45% no. It’s not that I’m not 100% committed, it’s just that as soon as I make the commitment to do it, I’m like ‘Uh, here we go,’ It’s like running a marathon, you cannot two weeks before the marathon, you have to decide long before.” Tom Brady spoke on his retirement plans and how he came back from it, however, Undisputed analyst Skip Bayless thinks the QB is full of shi*t on this one.
“When Tom said 55% yes and 45% no, that’s for Gisele and the kids only”: Skip Bayless believes Brady wanted to return this season all along

Tom Brady had a lot of pressure upon him going into this offseason. Post the loss against the Rams, the quarterback’s future was doubtful, he faced pressure back home as his wife Gisele had been against him playing for quite some time now and she had been asking for him to hang it up. In addition to that, his kids are also growing up and are in their formative years where his presence is needed, these thoughts may have led Brady to hang it up for a while but the thought of not having played until he wanted to and leaving the possibility of another Super Bowl on the table is not something he wanted at all.
Skip believes that the reason TB12 said that he was conflicted on the decision regarding his retirement was so that his wife and kids think that it was genuinely close. “I’m calling big baloney on that, I don’t see it, I think he was 100-0 to play football.” Brady originally wanted to pair with Sean Payton in New Orleans but he announced his retirement, next up on Tom’s list was the Miami Dolphins, he had a chance to be part owner and a player for the team which was a dream but due to Brian Flores filing a lawsuit citing discrimination in hiring practices, that plan did not materialize either. Skip Bayless also believes that Tom attempted to contact the San Francisco 49ers to try to work out a deal to end his career in his hometown. However, considering the team has Trey Lance and Jimmy G, that was a loose end.
The Tampa Bay Bucs were also largely confused as they were not sure about Brady’s return. Skip hints that Brady returned once he was sure that Bruce Arians was no longer going to be the Head Coach of the team. “In the end, he goes full circle back to Tampa and delivers an ultimatum. He said, ‘Look I can no longer co-exist with your head coach, I like him off the field but I don’t love him on the field. Me and Byron, we’re close, we’re in sync, let us go forward together. Let Todd Bowles be the HC.’ Brady got what he needed.”
Talking about retirement, Rodgers looked more inclined to walk away from the game even though he is not as old as Tom, “Watching Aaron and Tom go back & forth in the Ernie Johnson interview. It struck me that Aaron is closer to retiring than Tom is, that’s how it came across.” Skip says. What is surprising is Rodgers does not have a wife or kids, so he is more likely to stick around longer but he appears to be running out of patience and passion.
