Tom Brady is a football legend. A seven-time Super Bowl champion, he knows a thing or two about Quarterbacking and winning. The thing he does not know about much, however, is playing Tight End. For that, he has his good friend and arguably the greatest tight end of all time, Rob Gronkowski. After winning four Super Bowls together and pretty much dominating the league during their time in New England, Brady and Gronk have developed a great relationship.

Brady recently revealed on his Let’s Go! podcast that his son, Ben, will start playing football this year. A quarterback’s son will be expected to play the same position as his father, but Ben surprised his dad and said he wanted to play TE because he idolizes Gronkowski. Brady texted Gronkowski after this and naturally the big TE was ecstatic.

“Dad, I’m playing football.” Brady recalled Ben telling him, to which Brady replied “What do you wanna play?” Without any hesitation, Ben said “Tight end. I wanna be like Gronk!” Brady texted Gronkowski and told him about his conversation with his son. Gronkowski was happy to hear that obviously. Brady concluded by saying “He wants to be a tight end like Gronk, and he’s gonna be a little beast.”

Brady and Gronkowski played for 11 seasons together. All of Gronkowski’s 11 years in the NFL have been with Brady as his quarterback, nine with the New England Patriots and last two with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. They won three Super Bowls as Patriots and one as Buccaneers. Brady retired from football earlier this year, whereas Gronkowski retired after the 2021 season.

Tom Brady has been keeping himself busy by signing multi-million dollar deals after retiring from football. He has already become a part of the Birmingham City FC as well as the Las Vegas Raiders’ ownership group. On Wednesday, Delta Airlines announced that they are hiring Brady as a strategic advisor.

According to Delta CEO Ed Bastian, they are hiring Brady for his leadership skill and teamwork. “Bringing a leader like Tom onto the Delta team furthers our mission to connect the world while accelerating our drive to continuously improve for our colleagues, customers and communities.” Bastian said in an interview.

Brady last played in the NFL earlier this year in the Wild Card round to the Dallas Cowboys. He has since been expanding his business empire and joining Delta is a massive move for his post-playing career. He won seven Super Bowl titles in his 23-year playing career and is the winningest quarterback in the league’s history.
