These pieces are an emblem of the legendary Super Bowl triumph by the New England Patriots over the Seattle Seahawks, 28-24, 9 years ago. In addition, they hold significant value to the quarterback, given he used one of them to throw a second-quarter touchdown pass directed towards tight end Rob Gronkowski, which tied him with the San Francisco 49ers legend Joe Montana’s record of highest touchdown passes in Super Bowl.

The second ball he put in for the auction was used in the same epic match but in the fourth quarter in a touchdown pass to wide receiver Danny Amendola, which surpassed Montana’s record and gave Brady the highest TD passes.

Whoever would be fortunate enough to get the ball will also receive an authentication letter from Amendola along with his and Brady’s autograph on the ball.

The auction will run till February 23rd, and according to TMZ Sports, the price may reach up to the mark of $1 million, given the significant value it holds and the bidding starts at $500,000.

Tom Brady’s breakthrough Super Bowl win in 2002

Brady, who’s next in line to gain the title of Greatest Of All Time, has won seven Super Bowl rings in his 23 years of NFL career. However, none of them are as special as his first one.

The iconic signal caller won his first Lombardi Trophy in 2002 after leading the New England Patriots to their first Super Bowl trophy in franchise history after defeating St. Louis Rams at 20-17. As Brady was just 24 years old when he won, he became the youngest quarterback ever to win a Super Bowl

He finished the game completing 16 of 27 passes for 145 yards along with one touchdown. In addition to the prominent Lombardi Trophy, Birthday also took home the Super Bowl MVP award that season.
