Lately, the National Football League has been going along with the “NFL is scripted” jokes. They conducted a “script reading session” with star comedian Keegan Michael Key and multiple star players, including the Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes and the Minnesota Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins. And now, Tom Brady weighs in on the league’s scripted take with a funny dig at Peyton Manning‘s brother Eli Manning while alluding to the New England Patriots losses to the New York Giants in 2 Super Bowl games.
“Do I think the NFL is scripted?” Brady said in a video posted by the NFL’s social media account on X. “You think I really would have played along with a script that had me losing to Peyton’s little brother, Eli, twice in the Super Bowl? … No.”
The 7-time Super Bowl Champion Tom Brady and the Patriots lost 2 Super Bowl games against the Eli Manning-led Giants. The first of those losses came back in Super Bowl XLI which stopped the 2007 Patriots from being the second team in the league to have an undefeated run. The second loss came in Super Bowl XLVI.
Despite having seven championship rings, Brady will likely never get over those two losses especially the first one. In fact, back in 2021, Brady said that he would trade two of his Super Bowl rings for that perfect season with the Patriots in 2007. Apart from “Peyton Manning’s little brother” Eli, the only other quarterback who has beaten Tom Brady in the big game is the former Philadelphia Eagles QB Nick Foles.
Tom Brady and Irina Shayk are still dating
The legendary quarterback Tom Brady and model Irina Shayk are rumored to be dating after the couple were seen spending a night in Brady’s Los Angeles home a few weeks ago.
Amidst the dating rumors, the 37-year-old Russian-born model went on a vacation with her ex-boyfriend Bradley Cooper and posted topless pictures from that vacation on her Instagram account.
As a result, many speculated that Brady and Shayk called off their relationship. However, new reports suggest that the 46-year-old former quarterback is still dating the model. Brady is allegedly Shayk’s dream man and the NFL legend also finds Shayk gorgeous and exciting per reports. Besides, the new couple reportedly spent 48 hours in London a couple of weeks ago.
Neither Brady nor Shayk have publicly addressed the nature of their relationship yet. But both of them appear to be having a good time, as the couple was seen in public multiple times.
