Last week, the Las Vegas Raiders owner Mark Davis fired their head coach Josh McDaniels, and their general manager Dave Ziegler, bringing an end to their chaotic tenure in Las Vegas. Davis further appointed linebackers coach Antonio Pierce as their interim head coach and Champ Kelly as their interim GM.

Now, Davis still has to make a decision on their next head coach. As he continues the search for his franchise’s next leader, he is expected to be dependent on the legendary quarterback Tom Brady.

According to a CBS Sports report, the New England Patriots legend is expected to “have some amount of influence” over Davis’ decisions. Brady and Davis have already agreed on a deal that will make the Pats icon a minority owner in the Las Vegas-based football team.

He has already started attending the Raiders games. Brady was seen encouraging Las Vegas’ quarterbacks before their preseason game against the Dallas Cowboys back in August.

Nonetheless, as Davis is making some drastic changes in his team, he is expected to keep Tom Brady as a part of his inner circle. That’ll help him in his search for a new head coach and a new general manager. It is unknown just how much influence Brady has on the decision-making process, but he’s one of only 4 people in Davis’ inner circle according to reports.

Brady’s expected role in the next head coach selection is interesting since there are still a lot of issues with the Patriots legend acquiring an ownership stake with the Raiders. Recently, reports revealed that the league is concerned about the discounted price Brady got as an offer from Davis for his ownership stake.

Nonetheless, Tom Brady and Mark Davis continue to work together. As for their next head coach, Davis is expected to rope in a player-centric coach. His last head coaches have been offensive-minded coaches, and it hasn’t worked out well for the team.

During a recent episode of his SiriusXM podcast Let’s Go!, Brady said that he understands that when changes are being, it could affect a player, but he wants them to adapt and play for the ones that are still in the building.

Look, there's people that are still out there. You're still on the battlefield, you're still out there going after it, you're still out there playing and you gotta keep fighting to the end.
