Tom Brady is having a rough time and is surrounded by controversies. A new report from the Daily Beast suggests that Brady’s charity gave over $1.6 million to his for-profit organization, TB12.
Brady’s charity has received a lot of funding in the past years, including multimillionaire YouTube personality Logan Thirtyacre who gave $200,000, and Canadian Billionaire Lino Saputo Jr.
Tom Brady, the owner of the organization, has earned over $350 million but has given a mere $200,000 in donations to his charity. The Former Patriots QB for-profit company TB12 is the biggest client of the Tom Brady foundation. Since it started, the company has given TB12 over $1.6 million.
The Tom Brady foundation is also the only non-profit company listed as an independent contractor for such treatments. “I can say that I haven’t come across this type of arrangement too often in my 19 years of nonprofit financial analysis in a watchdog role,” Laurie Styron, executive director of independent nonprofit monitor CharityWatch stated.
Styron believes that it isn’t common for the public to create a personal charity, which then pays the company for its services. “A charity’s board members have a fiduciary duty to act in the best interest of the charity at all times,” Styron added.
There were many views on the internet stating that Brady has created a non-profit organization to get away from paying taxes.

Although Brady’s personal life is still suffering as the QB recently got divorced from his wife Gisele and later was involved in a lawsuit regarding FTX, the cryptocurrency exchange.
Tom Brady is in countless controversies currently and the QB will have to find a way to get out of his slump and perform well this season as it’s the only thing he can do. The Bucs will face the Browns in their next game of the NFL season and will be looking for a win against a team that is struggling.
