From GOAT to GROAT, Tom Brady will be facing the heat this spring on the comedy stage as he is set to be the subject of streaming giant Netflix’s popular “Netflix is a Joke” Fest. Brady is going to be part of a comedy special named GROAT or “The Greatest Roast of All time,” wherein a panel of comedians and celebrities will take their turns to have their jibe at him.
While Tom Brady has been used to taking hits to his body throughout his NFL career, this is the first time that he will be taking brutal hits to his ego. The Tom Brady special is scheduled to be taped at the fest that will occur on a large scale between the 2nd of May to 12th of May. It will happen in Los Angeles and will comprise 300 shows across 35 venues as per Boston.com.
Some of the notable personalities who will roast Brady include Roastmaster General Jeff Ross. Apart from this, no other names have been revealed just yet but the promo states that the lineup will include his “friends and frenemies” which could mean fans will get to see some of his former athlete teammates or competitors roast him.
Tom Brady is officially in his ‘stand-up’ comedian era
Brady appears to be getting into stand-up comedy. He has a special with Netflix titled “A laughing matter,” which is scheduled to premiere before the end of the year. There have been reports that have hinted at the former NFL QB delaying his broadcasting stint with FOX Sports to pursue a career in stand-up comedy, but it has all been speculative up until this point.
The tickets for “A Laughing Matter” are in high demand and the venue is bound to be packed. Tom Brady has never spoken in a candid manner while sharing his life experiences in a humorous context.
His stories have been inspirational and send chills down fans’ spines, but it is hard to fathom him narrating stories and having the audience rolling with laughter. Ever since his divorce and retirement, Tom Brady has been making the most out of life. His stint as a comedian is just one of his many new endeavors.
