Behind the glitz and glamor of the modeling world, there is a dark side that can engulf a person’s life, eating away at their minds and forcing them to do the unthinkable. Gisele Bundchen almost fell prey to that darkness as she contemplated killing herself by jumping off the ninth story of her apartment building.

In a recent interview with ‘CBS News Sunday Morning,’ Bundchen revealed her hectic lifestyle created panic attacks during the peak of her career. She spoke with Lee Cowan for a televised interview to air on Sunday.

“I couldn’t breathe,” the 43-year-old claimed. “Then I started being in studios, and I felt, like, suffocated. I lived on the 9th floor and had to go up the stairs because I was afraid of being stuck on the elevator, and I’d be hyperventilating.”

According to the Brazilian native, her situation had worsened to such a degree that she felt like jumping off whenever she saw an open window. “You know when you can’t breathe even when the windows are open,” she continued. “You feel like, ‘I don’t want to live like this,’ you know what I mean?”

Cowen asked her if she ever thought about going through it. Bundchen replied,“Yeah. For, like, a second.”

This is not the first time she has shared the same in public space. Back in 2018, before the release of the memoir ‘Lessons: My Path to a Meaningful Life’, she first mentioned her suicidal tendencies. “I actually had the feeling that, ‘If I just jump off my roof, this is going to end,” Bundchen told People Magazine.

Gisele Bundchen is now in a better place

Separation is not easy for anyone, especially from a person with whom there are so many memories. Gisele Bundchen had to endure such pain when she and her ex-husband, Tom Brady, announced their divorce last year.

The decision hit Bundchen like a curve ball. She never dreamed of such an ending. “I feel like whenever it rains, it pours,” the Victoria’s Secret showstopper said. “All we can do is the best we can given what happens in our surroundings.”

However, she has managed to turn a page and is trying to move forward with renewed vigor. Her primary focus right now is taking care of her two children, Benjamin and Vivian. Even though she is no longer with Tom Brady, the Vogue cover model strives to co-parent with the retired NFL player.

Currently, Gisele Bundchen is settled in Miami and has revealed that her kids are enjoying their new public schools. “It makes me proud to see them becoming their own little individual selves,” she added. “Their principles and their values are so strong. It makes me so happy to see that.”

She recently launched a cookbook named Noruish and is also an advocate for leading a healthy lifestyle. Her favorite routine is never skipping exercise in the morning.
