“This simply can’t be allowed” – Giants’ rookie QB Tommy DeVito still living with his parents leads to mixed reactions on social media
Despite being signed to the Giants' practice squad, Tommy DeVito is happily living with his family.

Tommy DeVito is already establishing himself as a likeable individual. When the New York Giants quarterback stated that he lives at home with his parents, that appeared to be bizarre to fans and the media. His teammate Saquon Barkley could not believe it either when he discovered this and had to clarify if what he heard was right.
DeVito will be filling in for Daniel Jones as the quarterback is out for the season owing to a torn ACL. He resides in the house in which he was born and brought up in Cedar Grove, New Jersey, just 9 miles away from the Giants’ facility.

The rookie is smart if one thinks about it. He is a rookie and an undrafted free agent. From a financial perspective, he does not make as much as a QB on the 53-man roster. If he were to live in New York or anywhere around, his paychecks would all go toward just rent.
Tommy DeVito is relieved that he does not have to worry about doing chores
DeVito began this season on the practice squad and was signed to the team’s active roster last week after Tyrod Taylor was put on injured reserve. He has played for the Don Bosco Prep High School and the University of Illinois and now, he finally will be getting his start for the Giants.

Regarding his living situation, the QB stated,
It was a no-brainer for me. Everything that I need is there at home. I don't have to worry about laundry, what I'm eating for dinner...My mom still makes my bed.DeVito via ESPN
Everything is pretty much handled for him but fans on social media had mixed responses to DeVito’s answer.

Not sure what the big deal is. I take it as he still has a good relationship with his parents. ??

Great move save that money and force yourself to be facility during the day.

Good on him for saving money, cause he's def going to need it. Nothing better than a practice squad player.

Tommy DeVito is being smart with his money and given that there is a lot of uncertainty that prevails for a player on the practice squad, he is making sure that he does not spend unnecessarily.
