The Buffalo Bills lost against the Kansas City Chiefs in a thrilling encounter. It was a neck-to-neck battle and despite taking the lead in three quarters; the Bills lost the game. Josh Allen, the Bills’ signal caller, was understandably in grief after the result.

Allen carried his team to the playoffs with his great individual performances. He had a fierce start to his campaign and also ended it pretty well. He found a late form, and the Bills were on a six-game winning streak. The streak, however, came to an end after the vital loss against the Chiefs who were playing on the away turf and had several offensive head aches.

Considering all these aspects, the former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo said via CBS’ coverage of the game,

This is going to be the most devastating loss, I think, of Josh Allen's career because they had things situated for an advantage. They were at home, they worked all year, playing great football, they were coming in, and they started the game great. They were running the ball, and for him, he played great today.

Romo was right in his opinion. This was probably the best chance the Bills could have won against the Kansas-based team. They faced the Chiefs twice earlier, but the team had to suffer losses in both those occasions.

In addition, this was the time when the Bills got a weak Chiefs team and they were also playing on the Bills’ turf. In the regular season, the Bills had beaten the Chiefs, however; they failed to create that aura in the playoffs.

Tony Romo praised Josh Allen regardless of the result

Despite acknowledging the fact that the Bills had a devastating loss, Romo said that Josh Allen had one of the finest performances in his career. He even praised his efforts in the playoffs as well.

He was outstanding. It's always going to fall on his shoulders, him and the head coach because he's the quarterback, but it's just so hard to take if you're Josh Allen because it's like what else can I do? And the truth is just keep going doing it. You'll break through eventually.

There is hardly any doubt that Allen had a shot for the Lombardi Trophy to the thousands of Buffalo Bills fans. They rejoiced about his 40+ touchdowns (passing and rushing). But the QB failed at the biggest stage. Mahomes prevailed.
