Travis Hunter and Shedeur Sanders may enjoy a very good relationship at the Colorado Buffaloes but that does not lead Hunter to vote for him as his ideal choice everywhere. For flag football in the 2028 Olympics, Hunter selected his squad where he did not pick Shedeur as his first-choice quarterback. He ditched Sanders with the likes of Patrick Mahomes. The WR picked Mahomes ahead of Shedeur and also put himself in the squad as one of the wide receivers.
His team included Patrick Mahomes from the Kansas City Chiefs, runningback Bijan Robinson from the Atlanta Falcons, Tyreek Hill from the Miami Dolphins, and tight end Kyle Pitts from the Falcons.
In addition to this, the footballers included Patrick Surtain and Jalen Ramsey from the Denver Broncos and the Miami Dolphins, Minkah Fitzpatrick from the Pittsburgh Steelers and himself as safeties, and Micah Parsons from the Dallas Cowboys as rusher. Overall, there was no mention of Shedeur in his squad.
Hunter and Shedeur started playing together this year at the Colorado Buffaloes. All credit goes to Deion Sanders, who was brought in by the Buffaloes management after their abysmal performance last season. They registered only one win in 12 matches and 11 losses. To change things, the management brought Coach Prime. Prime led a change to this team by including 53 new players. This change included both Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter. Both have been producing magic together since the beginning of the season. Both are connecting very well and leading their team toward the 2023 Bowls. Despite connecting together, Travis does not think that Shedeur needs to be selected for flag football in 2028.
Travis Hunter’s performance this season
Hunter has been phenomenal since the beginning of the season. He has played seven matches for the Buffaloes both as the wide receiver and the cornerback. He has been versatile and impactful as he has provided his best in two positions.
As a cornerback, the player registered a total of 14 tackles (11 SOLO and three assisted). These numbers have been impactful to restrict opponents.
As a wide receiver, Hunter has registered 29 receives for 363 passing yards with a 12.2 average per carry. In addition to this, the player has registered 43 long gains with two touchdowns. His partnership with Shedeur Sanders has been enjoyed by the fans throughout the time. It is to be seen whether he carries on this success in the coming time.
