The Colorado Buffaloes led by their new head coach Deion Sanders and star quarterback Shedeur Sanders took on one of their rivals Colorado State Rams on Saturday in a fierce college football match. Ahead of the game, the Buffaloes’ star two-way player Travis Hunter was seen taunting the Rams players.
In a video posted by ESPN‘s official account on the social media platform X, Hunter could be seen taunting the Rams players when both teams were training on the field before the game. “Oh my god, you are so big and bad,” said Hunter in a mocking tune seemingly aimed towards the CSU players. He then went on to dap one of his teammates after mocking the CSU players.
This taunting is part of the intense rivalry between these two teams which has gotten a new life in the last week. During the build-up to this game, the CSU head coach Jay Norvell took a shot at Buffs head coach Deion Sanders’ showmanship and attire. Prime Time addressed his players about Norvall’s comments and said that the CSU head coach made the game very ‘personal with his comments‘.
Apart from the mocking taunt, Hunter also issued a warning to the CSU players after they interrupted Colorado’s practice session. “They done messed with the wrong team,” Hunter can be heard saying when an onfield camera panned close to him. “All talk, no bite.”
Hunter must’ve p*ssed off the Colorado State players with his taunts and warnings. During the game, the CSU defensive back Henry Blackburn laid a massive hit on Hunter well after an incomplete pass.
Blackburn was penalized for pass interference and unnecessary roughness for his blatant late hit. The trash talk didn’t age very well for Hunter as he lost a fumble in the game and caught only 2 passes for 21 receiving yards. But the Buffaloes managed to erase an 8-point deficit in the last few seconds.

Travis Hunter was hit late by CSU DB Henry Blackburn
The Colorado Buffaloes’ two-way star Travis Hunter was involved in heavy trash-talking ahead of their game against the Colorado State Rams. That might’ve rubbed some Rams players the wrong way.
During the 1st quarter of the game, Henry Blackburn laid a hard hit on Hunter that took the star player out of the offensive unit for that drive. However, he managed to get back in the field when the Buffaloes’ defense took the field. Nonetheless, the Colorado Buffaloes managed to erase an 8-point deficit in the last few seconds and force overtime in the Rocky Mountain showdown.
