Colorado Buffaloes, two-way star Travis Hunter, celebrated his first Valentine’s Day with Leanna Lenee as an engaged couple. On this special occasion, Hunter received a special gift from Lenee that made him giddy with joy.
The two have been dating for a while and only recently announced their engagement through a series of memorable photographs. Lenee and Hunter are high school sweethearts and have been together ever since.
Hunter’s entire reaction while opening the gift was documented in the form of a TikTok video. The 1-minute-long video made its way onto social media platforms, which showcased how excited the playmaker was.
It starts with Hunter trying his best to open the box, which had “Fragile” written on top of it. He carefully unwrapped his gift, which, at first glance, appeared rectangular. As Leanna continued to film her beau, Hunter was grinning from ear to ear.
He finally revealed the gift to the camera, which included a couple of 3D football player figurines in action. One of them, of course, was the 20-year-old receiver himself. He said,
Oh, that’s tough. That’s me? That’s cold. Does that look like me?
What did Travis Hunter’s gift signify?
Hunter revealed that it was the hardest gift he had ever opened. In particular, he thought it was a PlayStation. After the big reveal, he noticed there was a barcode, and after scanning it, a video opened, which was a clip of that figurine being modeled.
It transported the audience back to Travis Hunter’s first game as a Buffalo. On the opening day of last season, the Buffs played the 2022 CFP finalists, the TCU Horned Frogs. That day, Hunter recorded 11 catches for 119 receiving yards with an average of 10.8 yards. He also made 3 tackles (1 solo and 2 assisted), along with one interception.
His first season ended with 57 catches for 721 yards, three interceptions, five touchdowns, and five passes defended. Leanna has been an avid supporter and follower of her boyfriend’s rise to fame. The couple occasionally shares some of their experiences and romantic moments on their YouTube channel, ‘Travis and Leanna’.
Hunter followed head coach Deion Sanders from Jackson State to Colorado before the start of the last season. They used to live together before Travis moved to Boulder with Coach Prime.
