The Kansas City Chiefs vs. the Buffalo Bills game in the Divisional Playoff Round had ended with the Chiefs emerging victorious. However, the tension in the atmosphere is still there. It was so thrilling and heated that the players are still talking about it.
Travis Kelce, the tight end of the Chiefs recently shared his experience of the Bills-Chiefs rivalry. He claimed that his team was subjected to ugly chants from the Bills fans. Things went so far that the fans attacked them with insults directed towards their families.
In the latest episode of his podcasting show New Heights, Kelce said:
I'm not going to say, because that's what they want, I'm not going to relay it. Some things were said about the family, some pretty inappropriate things were said about [Chiefs quarterback] Pat Mahomes. It was pretty whack. I get it, coming into a hostile environment. I just wanted them to know it isn't mutual. ... I don't hate you guys like you hate us. It's all love, baby.Travis Kelce on New Heights
It is no secret that the Chiefs and the Bills share a history of a fierce rivalry. Each time the two have a face-off, fans go crazy. It was no exception in the latest playoff game. The Chiefs traveled to play the Divisional Round at the home of the Bills. It was the Bills’ best chance to win over Patrick Mahomes in a playoff game. However, they failed. Despite a neck-to-neck battle, the Bills ended up losing the game as the Chiefs made a clutch comeback.
Following all the thrill on the gridiron, things went beyond that. Chris Jones, the Chiefs DT showed his middle finger towards the Bills fans after the game. In addition, he used some curse words as well.
Travis Kelce suggests fans to spread love
Following the heated temperature environment in the game, Travis Kelce had a suggestion for everyone. He suggested the fans spread love as he always advocates the same.
Here is what Kelce had to say:
I had to spread the love, baby, you've always got to spread that love, baby. There was a lot of hate pulling up to that stadium. A lot of understandable hate. Coming into their house, they want to make it rowdy. Did it get a little disrespectful? 1,000%. Did it get a little extra? 1,000%.Travis Kelce said
Kelce set an example of harmony earlier as well. When Josh Allen was subjected to a poor fine, he took the side of the Bills quarterback despite the rivalry between the two teams.
