On Thursday, Travis Kelce was busy dominating the Denver Broncos on the field in their week 6 matchup. A few days later he was having fun while making a surprise appearance on NBC’s Saturday Night Live. On this week’s episode of SNL, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end made a surprise cameo and made fun of the NFL’s obsession with his rumored girlfriend and the global superstar Taylor Swift.

Kelce appeared in a sketch about the NFL’s obsession with Taylor Swift. The sketch was a parody of Fox NFL Sunday, where the analysts kept discussing the “Blank Space” singer instead of football. In the hilarious sketch, Kenan Thompson appeared as Curt Menefee, James Austin Johnson as Jimmy Johnson, Devon Walker as Michael Strahan, Mikey Day as Howie Long, and Molly Kearney as Terry Bradshaw.

In addition, Pete Davidson appeared as a sideline reporter covering a game between the New York Jets and the Philadelphia Eagles. But all he could talk about was Swift instead of the game. “Devastated, Curt! Taylor is nowhere to be seen,” said Davidson, prompting Kenan to ask Pete why he expected Taylor to show up in a game between the Jets and the Eagles.

“Because there was a rumor online she was coming to cheer on Travis Kelce’s brother, Jason, who plays for the Eagles. Duh!” replied Davidson. “But so far, no sign of blondie. I’m starting to wonder why I’m even here.”

Then, the crew in the studio had a discussion about who is the biggest fan of the 12-time Grammy Award winner, leading to a hilarious conversation. After a while, Thompson tried to turn the conversation to football and referred to the rivalry between the Eagles and the Giants as “Bad Blood” leading the other analysts to break into the iconic Swift song featuring Hip-Hop artist Kendrick Lamar.

Travis Kelce’s surprise cameo in the SNL

After his co-anchors broke into a Taylor Swift song, a frustrated Kenan Thompson, as Curt Menefee said, “You know what, I’m done. When we get back, we’re going to speak to someone who actually wants to talk football.”

When the camera cut to the sidelines, Travis Kelce surprisingly appeared holding a mic on the screen to thunderstorms of cheers from the SNL crowd. “Yes, please!” Kelce yelled.

According to the Post, Kelce was a surprise guest and only showed up right before the show started. The writers had to quickly squeeze his short cameo in the sketch per reports. Kelce was also seen holding hands with his alleged beau Taylor Swift in New York City amidst rumors about them attending the Eagles-Jets game on Sunday.
