Travis Kelce is 34 years old. He is a two-time Super Bowl champion, an eight-time Pro-Bowler and has been selected to the All-Pro teams seven times. He has a podcast that he co-hosts with his brother and fellow NFL player Jason Kelce and is going out with one of this generation’s greatest singers, Taylor Swift. The superstar is arguably the greatest tight end to ever play in the NFL. The man can retire today and no one will question his legacy.
Kelce though, isn’t sure about his retirement plans yet. He recently appeared on the Paper Route podcast and talked about his future plans. On the show, former NFL player Brandon Marshall asked Kelce about his retirement plans. Kelce opened up about his plans and said that he has been “blessed” to be on the field doing what he loves.
Here is what Travis Kelce had to say:
I live day to day. ...Every situation is different. I've been blessed, been fortunate enough to be on the field more times than not and getting those kind of opportunities." I'm going to keep enjoying coming into the building. I said a few months ago, I'm going to try and play until the wheels fall off. Who knows when the wheels fall off? It's different for everybody." He concluded by joking, "You're gonna probably see me keep coming back.Travis Kelce on the Paper Route podcast
The Kansas City Chiefs are looking to defend their Super Bowl title this season and Travis Kelce is a big part of that plan. He has great chemistry with the team’s starting QB Patrick Mahomes and will look to help the team win another Super Bowl title this year.
Patrick Mahomes is glad that Travis Kelce is on his team
Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce have been tearing the NFL apart since 2018. Since Mahomes’ first year as the starting QB of the Kansas City Chiefs, the duo has been producing on an elite level consistently. That production has resulted in a couple of championships and five AFC Championship appearances.

Mahomes had high praise for his number one target. He said on Wednesday:
I think defenses and defensive coordinators are doing their best to cover him. There's a reason he's Travis Kelce, he finds a way to get himself open, versus man, versus zone, versus everything. I'm just glad he's on my team, I'll say that.
Their chemistry was on full display during their week 7 matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers. The duo connected for 12 of 13 targets for 179 yards and one touchdown. The Chiefs won that game and improved to 6-1 for the season. They are in a prime position to defend their Super Bowl title.
