No one likes to be talked about after a humiliating loss. And when that happened to the star tight end of the Kansas City Chiefs, things got a little escalated. As his team suffered an unexpected loss to their divisional rivals, Travis Kelce claimed they handed over the win Las Vegas Raiders. And that didn’t suit the fans well.

After the Christmas loss, Kelce made quite the headlines for his mid-game frustration, when he slammed his helmet on the sidelines. But when asked about the game, the tight end seemed to have something totally contradictory.

In the recent episode of the New Heights podcast by the Kelce brothers, Travis said:

We handed that team a win on Christmas. We literally played Santa and gave them a present. That was embarrassing. Everybody in the building knows how embarrassing that was.

Kelce backed his meltdown, saying:

It's frustrating when you know you got the guys and you got everybody that you need and things just aren't going your way.
Travis Kelce added

As clinching the hopes of making the playoffs, the Chiefs are likely to get over this Christmas defeat and get back all their focus toward the upcoming game against the Cincinnati Bengals on New Year’s Eve.

Although the sideline meltdown by Kelce wasn’t his best moment, his brother Jason Kelce pointed out how his younger brother made his 900th career catch and that was surely the brightest from the Christmas game.

Chiefs tight end’s comment on the Raiders’ victory invoked Raiders fans to troll Kelce and defend their victory, all over social media. Though the victory was quite miraculous for the Raiders, the brilliant performance of their defense cannot be denied.

The Raiders destroyed the Chiefs, by targeting the star quarterback Patrick Mahomes. While the Chiefs struggled to get on the scoreboard. Despite such efforts, calling their victory a Christmas present by the opponents seems more like an insult. And fans are not happy. One fan wrote, “This chiefs bunch is acting awfully entitled as of late,” while another wrote, “Can’t stand this fucking guy.”

Some fans even claimed that’s also what the Eagles did at the Super Bowl last season. Many mocked the tight end for throwing his helmet at the sideline.
