The Cincinnati Bengals and the Kansas City Chiefs share a blood-boiling rivalry. Their encounters peaked in the year 2022 when the Bengals beat the Chiefs in consecutive three games. Hence, the fans from both ends often remain triggered when their teams have a faceoff.

This season, the Bengals however failed to win over the Chiefs. The game also remained spiceless with very few heated moments taking place. The Chiefs successfully beat the Bengals by 25-17. With the victory, the Chiefs cemented their spot in the postseason while the Chiefs’ chance for the postseason ended with the loss.

In the postgame formalities, a few snaps made their way to the hearts of NFL enthusiasts. The Chiefs tight end (TE) Travis Kelce was seen shaking hands with ‘injured’ Joe Burrow after the game. In fact, the Chiefs defensive tackle Chris Jones also shared some words with the Bengals regular quarterback.

A short video that went viral on the internet shared some snippets of their conversation. It was Kelce who started first by saying:

(The injury) ripped our soul out, man.

Burrow also responded to that.

Joe Burrow had an injury-ridden season this year. He missed the preseason with an injury and was irregular in the team’s practice. It was reflected in his earlier performance. Nonetheless, the QB started picking up his form slowly and was providing when he suffered his season-ending injury on his finger. Burrow seemed frustrated while leaving the ground. Anyhow, despite being injured, the highest-paid quarterback in the league did not forget to give his presence in the team’s defensive meetings to inspire his teammates.

Joe Burrow also got the appreciation from Chris Jones

Joe Burrow not only received appreciation from Travis Kelce but also got praise from Chris Jones, the DT who had some harsh words for the Bengals WR Ja’ Marr Chase following the latter’s controversial take on the Chiefs. The DT, after the game told Burrow:

Along with these appreciations, the DT had a very strong message for the Bengals WR Chase, after the latter environment by saying that the Chiefs’ defense would not be able to stop him despite knowing how he plays. After winning the game Jones had a suggestion for Chase as he suggested him to try hard.

The Bengals’ offense struggled against the Chiefs as they failed to score after gaining 15 points in three drives. Jones can certainly ask for credit for keeping the team silent.
