Travis Kelce is currently regarded as one of the best TEs in the league. However, there is always room for improvement, and the Super Bowl winner understands that. The Kansas City Chiefs TE recently took blocking lessons from another prolific TE, i.e. George Kittle. San Francisco 49ers‘ Kittle and Travis have established a good friendship off the field and often help each other learn new things.

The duo has also started a TE training camp to help the upcoming talents in the NFL. Travis recently featured with his brother and Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce on the New Heights podcast and spoke about his new ‘towel drill’.

The drill has enabled him to develop his blocking skills, which will further improve his game. When the older Kelce asked him about the drill, he explained it in detail.

“I finally figured it out. I got my towel drill,” Travis Kelce stated. “It’s the Kittles, you know, the towel’s on the floor. It helps you with footwork and being able to set your angle on a certain defender, whether you’re running inside zone, outside zone.” Travis was impressed with his new skill, however, the same couldn’t be said about Jason, who was rather surprised and deemed it as ‘no big deal’.

Travis Kelce calls Jason Kelce the best center in the league

Jason Kelce was instrumental for the Eagles during their Super Bowl run last season. However, the older brother wasn’t able to win it though. Still, Travis Kelce still believes that his brother is the best center in the league and has no competition.

The brothers were discussing the new ‘towel drill’ when Jason stated that one needs to towel or the board to complete the drill. The Chiefs TE was surprised by his brother’s confidence and announced him as the best center in the NFL.

“Well, Jason, that’s why you are the f****ng number one center in the National Football League ‘cause you don’t need that kind of stuff. A guy like me, I’m not in the Top 5 tight ends ‘cause I can’t f****ng block,” Travis declared.

Travis Kelce and Jason Kelce share a great bond both on and off the field. The brothers have never let competition affect them and have always praised each other regardless of the outcome.
