Travis Kelce came under a lot of fire after the Kansas City Chiefs’ recent loss against the Las Vegas Raiders. The Chiefs had a glorious chance of getting a win and getting closer to the playoffs on Monday. However, the Raiders had other plans as they came into the Arrowhead Stadium and pulled off an impressive win against the struggling Chiefs.

Kelce hasn’t had a great season, but he has delivered some important performances throughout the season. Although the Chiefs are 9-6, their star tight end has been accused of being distracted because of his high-profile relationship with pop star Taylor Swift. Kelce dismissed that notion and addressed his team’s recent difficult patch on his podcast, New Heights.

It’s not just one guy. It’s not just me playing like dog s***. It’s not just us not being on the same page, passing-wise. Everybody’s in this f—ing thing together. Everybody at some point isn’t being accountable.

Kelce finished the game with 5 receptions for 44 yards.

The Chiefs will play the Cincinnati Bengals in their next game on Sunday. It will be another test for the Chiefs despite heading into the game as favorites. The Bengals will be without the services of their superstar QB Joe Burrow, but are vying for a playoff spot themselves. It will be a fun matchup.

Kelce said:

He [Andy Reid] wanted to see the fire in me, and I reacted in a bad way. And, right now I’m just not playing my best football, and I gotta f****** lock the f*** in, and be more accountable for him, be more accountable for my teammates. I gotta keep my f****** cool, man. As a leader on this team, that’s not how you switch the momentum.
