Just a few days ago, the Kansas City Chiefs veterans started their training camp for the upcoming season. And on Friday, they started training while wearing pads, which led to some heated moments on the field. In one such moment, the Chiefs’ star tight end Travis Kelce got into a heated fight with a couple of defensive players.

Kelce caught a pass from his quarterback, Blaine Gabbert, and tried to push for a couple of yards before he was surrounded by the defensive unit. During the heated moment, it seemed like Kelce didn’t like the defensive backs playing beyond the whistle.

Kelce got into a fight and threw hands with the Chiefs‘ defensive back Dicaprio Bootle before they were separated by DB Bryan Cook and running back La’Mical Perine. Check out the video clip of the fight below.

The 2-time Super Bowl champion Kelce might not have liked Bootle playing hard in the training camp. But Bootle, an undrafted free who signed with the Chiefs back in 2021, was playing for a roster spot with some intensity.

These heated moments among teammates are quite normal during training camps and usually aren’t a big deal. Soon, teams will start to conduct joint training sessions and that’s when the real fun will begin.

Travis Kelce, the star tight end of the Chiefs, has enjoyed a remarkable career so far in the NFL. He has been in the league for more than a decade and is still playing at the highest level.

He was drafted by the Chiefs in the 3rd round of the 2013 NFL Draft. Kelce missed almost the entirety of the 2013 season with an injury. He became a starter in the league in 2014 and never looked back.

During his 10-year-long career so far, Kelce has been to 8 Pro Bowls and has received 4 first-team All-Pro recognitions. He also has registered 7 straight 1000-plus receiving yards season in his last 7 seasons.

Kelce has helped the Chiefs and Patrick Mahomes win 2 Super Bowl rings in the last 4 years. Due to his career accomplishments, some people already believe that Kelce is the greatest tight end of all time, but others would like to see a few more good seasons from the 33-year-old.

However, Kelce would be focusing on helping his franchise defend its crown in the upcoming season. They are looking to become the first team to win back-to-back Super Bowl rings since 2005.
