Travis Kelce has been in the news this year for dating the superstar singer Taylor Swift. He has also been kept in the headlines by his ex-girlfriend Kayla Nicole. Kelce and Nicole had an on-and-off relationship for the better part of five years. However, they separated in 2022 and since then the duo hasn’t been seen together.

Kelce began dating Swift in September last year and the couple seem to be going pretty well. They have made multiple public appearances together as the 12-time Grammy award winner has attended several Kansas City Chiefs games this year. Nicole, however, seems to have had enough of athletes as she recently revealed that she is done with dating sportspeople.

Kayla Nicole said

Nicole stated that although she has no interest in athletes, she would still love to date someone who is as passionate about sports as she is.

The 32-year-old model then said:

I would love to date an executive of a record label or a movie producer so that we can go to the sporting events. Let date night be courtside at the Laker game; that’s my kind of guy.
Kayla Nicole added

Although the precise cause of their breakup is unknown, there have been rumors suggesting that money concerns were the main factor. Barstool Sports claimed that the reason Kelce and Kayla broke up was because of his 50/50 rule, which required Kayla to pay for “half of everything.”

Kayla Nicole also talked about her friendship with Brittany Mahomes

The Travis Kelce-Taylor Swift relationship seems to have affected the Kayla Nicole-Brittany Mahomes friendship. However, Kelce’s ex-girlfriend, Nicole, believes that the friendship is still there. She opened up about her changed relationship between the two since Kelce began dating Swift in September last season.

The content creator told People Magazine:

She knows that I love her. That's a lot of history and friendship there, that doesn't change overnight. But publicly, because things are happening so quickly and so publicly, I have to protect myself. That's really all that is. The love is still there.

Nicole also revealed that they “have had our conversations” about the public display.

Brittany will be expected to be in Baltimore to support her husband, Patrick Mahomes as the Kansas City Chiefs will take on the Baltimore Ravens this Sunday. Swift is also expected to attend the game. The Chiefs will look to get to another Super Bowl this season with a win on Sunday.
