Travis Kelce‘s resume has made him the envy of many. Not only has he won two Super Bowls and is on the verge of winning another, but he is arguably the greatest tight end to play the game of football.

Kelce is a seven-time All-Pro and a nine-time pro bowler, along with supervising the great Tony Gonzalez as the Chiefs’ all-time leading receiver. On top of that, he is dating pop icon Taylor Swift. With a resume like that, he’s bound to have a few who tend to dislike him.

During the opening day of Super Bowl week, Kelce and his ‘Tight End University‘ partner in crime, San Francisco 49ers George Kittle, took center stage in Vegas. However, one of them got a massive cheer, and the other one was welcomed with a wave of boos. It’s easy to guess whom the crowd was dissing.

When Travis Kelce took the mic from the host, fans let out a loud jeer. Clearly, the 49ers fans flocked inside the Allegiant Stadium.

It’s not easy to keep a good Kelce down. With so much stick he has had to endure since the Pfizer commercial and dating Swift, a short moment of boos wasn’t going to make much of an impact on him.

Kelce gave a befitting reply while the crowd was still making themselves heard.

Y’all fire me up; make me want to play right now, baby. I love the boos more than I love the cheers, baby. Keep ‘em coming, Niners Gang. Keep ‘em coming.

The 34-year-old’s pairing with Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes brought the team back to the Super Bowl. It was looking bleak when their playmakers were dropping balls left and right. According to BetMGM, the Chiefs led the league with 44 dropped passes, only outdoing the Cleveland Browns with 42.

The 2023 season was the worst for the Kansas City franchise since Mahomes became the starter. He has never lost six games in an NFL season before. Yet he still managed to steady the ship and reach his third Super Bowl, along with Travis Kelce.

Kelce, too, had a down year considering his high caliber. He played all but two games in the regular season, catching 93 passes for 984 receiving yards and five touchdowns. He chose not to continue the 1000-yard streak.

However, he came alive during the post-season. In three games, he has had 23 receptions for 262 yards, 11.6 yards per catch, and 3 touchdowns, breaking Jerry Rice‘s reception record.
