The Kansas City Chiefs star tight end Travis Kelce showed some support to his friend and teammate Patrick Mahomes as he issued a warning to the Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase not to talk trash about the 2-time league MVP. Kelce issued the warning after Chase disrespected Mahomes while crowning Joe Burrow as the best player in the NFL.
“Who doesn’t love some good locker room banter, man? Shoutout to Ja’Marr Chase for holding it down for his QB, but don’t you ever disrespect Pat Mahomes now. If you want to talk your s–t, talk your s–t, pimp. Just better back it up,” said Travis Kelce during a recent episode of his podcast The New Heights.
Kelce further noted that Mahomes is “a two-time league MVP, two-time Super Bowl MVP. To say ‘Pat who’ is like… I don’t know.” Just a few days ago, during the Bengals’ mandatory camp, wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase stirred the pot by claiming Joe Burrow is the No.1 player in the NFL.
Furthermore, when some reporters told Chase that Burrow himself picked Mahomes as the best QB in the league, Chase threw a shot at the Chiefs quarterback by replying, “Pat, Who?”
The Pro Bowl receiver Chase’s comments went viral on social media and many people based Chase for the disrespect. Even the 2-time Super Bowl Mahomes himself seemingly replied to the pass catcher with a savage tweet. Mahomes posted a picture of himself with his 2 Super Bowl rings and captioned it, “That’s Who.” And now, Kelce has shown some support to his quarterback.

Joe Burrow and Patrick Mahomes rivalry is heating up
The already intense rivalry between the Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes and the Bengals signal-caller Joe Burrow is heating up. Some people are comparing this battle to the legendary rivalry between Tom Brady and Peyton Manning.
In the last two years, the Bengals, led by their Pro Bowl QB Burrow and the Chiefs, led by their All-Pro QB Mahomes, have gone against each other in the AFC Championship game. They have both won once.
During the 2022 AFC Championship game, Cincinnati Mayor Aftab Pureval caused a massive stir by claiming that Mahomes is the son of Joe Burrow since Mahomes had never beaten Burrow at that point.
Mahomes and the Chiefs went on to win the AFC title game and eventually won the Super Bowl. But the rivalry stays alive. The fun competition between two of the most talented player in the league right now will be exciting to follow for the next few years.
