Travis Kelce discloses his original SNL plan involving Taylor Swift’s ‘good friend’ Ice Spice before cameo appearance

Travis Kelce is living his best life. The tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs was featured on the popular show Saturday Night Live for the second time in under a year. This time, however, his brief cameo on air was an impromptu act that was apparently drawn up just moments before the show aired. It came as no surprise that Travis Kelce forgot what his lines were immediately after he blurted them on air. His brother Jason Kelce pulled his leg on their podcast, New Heights.

Travis Kelce confirmed on the podcast that this was indeed his first guest appearance on SNL that was not pre-planned and rehearsed thoroughly, and it went fairly well. The fans did love it a lot. This time, Kelce’s feature on SNL happened due to his ‘special friend’ Taylor Swift.

He said:

The couple had gone to have a good time and show their support to rapper Ice Spice but when they got there, they got the request to make a cameo on the show and they obliged. Their cameo was right before the introduction of Ice Spice. The skit revolved around football, which does not come as a surprise since it had Kelce featuring in it. Jason Kelce loved his brother’s bit. He joked: 

SNL had a great sketch about the Swift Mania and the NFL, who should show up at the very end? The big yeti himself!

Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift pulled up to SNL to support Ice Spice

Travis Kelce enjoyed doing his part which was planned and executed at the last moment. He said: 

That was a good skit...I don't even remember what I said. I blacked out. As soon as they cued to me, the entire place erupted which was very overwhelming.

It got so overwhelming for Travis Kelce that he pretty much does not remember if he even said anything.

In reality, Kelce did say something but it was the same as not saying anything. The tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs just said, “Yea! It’s me” and a few more words that were not audible due to the excitement of the audience.

Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift are the hottest couple in town. They have been all over social media and the news over their budding relationship. Taylor might as well become a season ticket holder for the Chiefs considering that she has been attending nearly every game of Kelce in the past few weeks. The duo was spotted at a restaurant after they finished attending the SNL show and Kelce was seen holding Taylor’s hands as they left the place.
