Chris Jones is a big Taylor Swift fan. To prove the Kansas City Chiefs defensive tackle, he appeared on the Travis Kelce and Jason Kelce podcast and spewed the beans.

During the recent Kelce Brothers New Heights YouTube show, they asked Jones about whether he really played Taylor Swift’s music all day after the Chiefs’ 41-10 blowout of the Chicago Bears last week.

A tweet from the episode regarding Jones’ answer went viral, and people are starting to believe that the Chiefs players have truly embraced the Swiftie culture. It began with quarterback Patrick Mahomes on game day. When the media asked him about whether he had met with the 12-time Grammy winner, he said he would soon enough now that she and Travis Kelce were dating.

The segment with Chris Jones focused not only on his performance against the Bears but also on what his take was about the Kelce and Swift duo. The 29-year-old pointed out that even though their offense dominated their opponents, the ‘Blank Space’ star stole the show.

“When we have Pat Mahomes and Travis Kelce out there scoring so many damn points and we have Taylor Swift at the game, who gives a damn about the defense?” Jones joked. It’s not wrong, considering that since Swift’s presence at Arrowhead, more people are gaining interest in the game of football. Not only that, Travis’s social media following skyrocketed within a few days.

Then Jones’ tweet went viral, and he did confess to playing her music afterward. “Hell, yeah, I put it on,” Jones said, laughing. “Straight up! That’s my dog!” Travis replied, “Hell, yeah! That’s my f**king family, baby!”

He holds the record for completing sacks in 11 straight games in a season.

This Sunday, when the Chiefs play the New York Jets, Taylor Swift will reportedly be on the stands once more. So Travis Kelce and Chris Jones have to bring their A-game to MetLife.
