After being doubted by many, the Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence proved everyone wrong after his gusty win against the Saints. But the interesting part is the QB went on to social media to send a fiery post-game message to his critics aka ‘analysts.‘ This was the second time that Lawrence had attacked the sports analysts.

The Jaguars’ quarterback wrote:

Y'all keep your opinions and we'll keep finding ways to win.

It was accompanied by a side-eye emoji and ‘Analyst’ hashtag. This came a bit surprising as Lawrence isn’t known for being that active. But whenever he has been called out, Lawrence has always defended his stance.

Just like how, he responded with, “the game ain’t played on paper,” to an NFL segment that ranked him among AFC’s worst quarterbacks. Although the quarterback did not name who he was targeting specifically, many anticipate it to be for former NFL cornerback Richard Sherman.

Sherman previously argued Lawrence hasn’t lived up to his hype of 2021, saying “He wasn’t supposed to be a generational talent. I just haven’t seen it.” This season, the Jaguars’ quarterback recorded eight touchdowns with three interceptions, in the last seven games.

Jaguars’ Trevor Lawrence overcomes criticism and delivered a gusty performance against Saints

The Jaguars’ quarterback has always come out strongly after his criticism, and this time again, he did against the Saints. Lawrence sprained his left knee in the final minutes of Jaguars vs Colts, last Sunday. After recovering, the team decided in the pre-game warmup that he would make the head start for the game.

And Lawrence’s performance was absolutely gusty as he threw for 204 yards and a touchdown. He also rushed for 59 yards, leading all his team runners. After an exciting 31-24, the quarterback said:

It’s crazy how you have something like that going on and don’t plan on moving a lot, and you end up running the ball more than you usually do.

He further added:

It felt pretty good. It didn’t bother me too much and definitely didn’t set it back. That was the goal, to play, find a way to win the game and not set it back.

Currently, Jaguars stand at 5-2, after four consecutive wins and two losses in the first couple of weeks of this season. The team is now preparing to face off against the Steelers, scheduled on October 29.
