Dak Prescott is the successor to the legendary QB Troy Aikman. However, he has clearly failed to live upto the massive expectations set by the former legendary QB.
Aikman won 3 Super Bowl’s with the Dallas Cowboys and cemented himself as one of the greatest NFL QBs. His successor, Prescott arrived with lots of potential and expectations but has since failed to deliver on the big stage.
The Cowboys were knocked out in the divisional round of the NFL playoffs last season and haven’t been able to make it past that stage since a long time. Many fans have started to count out Prescott’s ability to win the Super Bowl.
However, Aikman is still certain that the QB has what it takes to win the iconic Lombardi Trophy and bring glory back to Dallas. Recently, Aikman and Prescott were invited to the ‘Light it up Gala, to raise money for the fight against children’s cancer. There the former Cowboys QB spoke avidly about the team’s future while praising Prescott.
“Dak has never cowered to the expectations of winning the Super Bowl, he’s taken that head on,” Troy Aikman stated. “He’s the only one I’ve heard since I’ve played that is really been that adamant about that being the standard for a Cowboys quarterback.’’
According to Aikman, Dak Prescott has taken up the challenge of winning the Super bowl and won’t rest until delivering one in Dallas. The Cowboys management have also been highly supportive of Prescott and has put their faith in him time and time again.

Troy Aikman believes Dak Prescott wants to improve following the abysmal performance last season
Dak Prescott threw loads of interceptions last season and was in horrendous form. His abysmal performance against the San Francisco 49ers also didn’t help.
Nonetheless, Troy Aikman believes that there’s change in the air. Prescott has acknowledged all the mistakes he has made last season and wants to improve on them before the next season starts.
“I really think he just wants to win. He knows if you do that, it really doesn’t matter what the rest looks like. The quarterback will get a lot of credit for that,” Aikman stated.
Dak Prescott will be entering one of the most important NFL seasons of his career. His performance in the next season will avidly impact his future in the league and even in the sport of football.
