Amidst the preparation of the face-off between the Kansas City Chiefs and Miami Dolphins, a comparison between the quarterbacks was foreseen. Tua Tagovailoa and Patrick Mahomes are two of the most explosive players in the league.

Chiefs and Dolphins are tied at a 6-2 record in the AFC and could likely meet again in the playoffs. This game of such high magnitude is scheduled for the coming Sunday, in Germany.

Although the Chiefs are still in Kansas City, Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa has landed in Germany along with his team of Dolphins. The good news for the Chiefs is their quarterback Mahomes has been cleared out to play in Germany as he was reported to be recovering from the flu. This means the most anticipated face-off between Tagovailoa and Mahomes is happening.

Speaking of which, during a recent episode of ESPN’s Get Up, ex-NFL wide receiver Harry Douglas was discussing whether Tua is playing better than Mahomes. Douglas agreed, saying:

Yes, if you look at Tua, he is in the top five in touchdowns, top fives in yards, top five in QB yards, top five in quarterback rating. He's been phenomenal this season….Tua has done a phenomenal job this season.

Even though the Chiefs’ quarterback Mahomes hasn’t played to his ultimate best this season, it doesn’t deny the fact that he is a legend when it comes to football. His opponent Tagovailoa agreed when he called him a ‘generational talent’ during a press conference.

As in the last eight games of the Chiefs this season, the quarterback has recorded throwing for 2,258 yards, 15 touchdowns, and eight interceptions. The reigning NFL MVP has a passer rating of 95.8 this season, that hasn’t been his best.

Chiefs are worried about Mahomes performance as he is turning the ball over very frequently. But that isn’t the only thing that the Chiefs are stressing over. Their wide receiver hasn’t backed the quarterback where it was needed the most. In fact, apart from tight end Travis Kelce, no other player has played to their full potential or performed as a reliable target for the team.

After a poor loss to the Denver Broncos, the Chiefs are motivated and preparing to face off against the Dolphins. As for the Dolphins, they would be hitting the field as a +2.0 undergo and had a fair chance of beating a team that they most likely face in the playoffs.
