Tua Tagovailoa makes SHOCKING admission- “I can’t see my receivers” as the Quarterback enters a do-or-die season
Tua Tagovailoa
Tua Tagovailoa is one young QB who is under intense pressure to prove himself as many around the league including his own team questioning whether he has what it takes to be an NFL starting Quarterback. It is a conses among experts that this season is a do-or-die for Tua. This is his chance to prove himself and show why the Dolphins were right to pick him over Justin Herbert.
Tua Tagovailoa played college football at the University of Alabama under Nick Saban and won the College Football Playoff National Championship in 2017, his exploits in college made him the top Quarterback prospect in the 2020 NFL draft along with LSU QB and eventual no.1 overall pick Joe Burrow. Although a star at college many have questioned whether Tua’s skillset will translate to NFL success. With his performances in the league not being convincing enough, he’s on a thin rope to prove himself but the pressure is not all that Tua has to overcome as he recently admitted to a unique problem that he faces when on the field.
I can’t see because I’m not the biggest guy out there.” Tua Tagovailoa
Tua Tagovailoa with his 6″1′ frame is not the tallest QB in the league but he is also not the shortest with Denver Broncos QB Russell Wilson measuring at 5″11′ and Arizona Cardinals‘ Kyler Murray being 5″10’ but with what is a less than ideal height to be an NFL quarterback Tua faces a unique problem that he recently opened up about which is his inability to locate his wide receivers in the field.
He said-“For me, for instance, if we have a slant and we have an over-the-ball player, and another player in the alley and the flat, for me, I can’t see because I’m not the biggest guy out there” he added,” So if I can’t see you, you can’t see me, I can’t get you the ball.”
Tall or not, receivers are visible to him or not Tua will have to ball out this season to keep his job as the starting Quarterback for the Miami Dolphins. He has started off with a win against the New England Patriots and will be facing the Baltimore Ravens next.
