Twitterati criticized Baker Mayfield for his throwing ability.

Is Baker Mayfield that bad a quarterback or is he having one of those phases which every athlete goes through at least once in their career? A recent viral video of the Carolina Panthers quarterback has spurred the question amongst fans, yet again.

The recently traded quarterback from the Cleveland Browns made an awful throw during one of the practice sessions as he missed his net target by a figurative mile, with the ball dropping way off the mark. The four-second clip shared on Twitter is simply a hint as to what fans think of the quarterback.

After trading Baker Mayfield from the Browns, the Panthers named the 27-year-old as the starter for the season. However, the decision backfired dramatically, and he has immediately pushed away to the backup position.

Baker Mayfield missed a pretty easy throw in the net during practice

The Panthers started the 2022/23 season on a horrible note with Mayfield and had a 1-4 record going into their 6th-Week clash against the Los Angeles Rams. The decision was then made to hand over the quarterback reins to PJ Walker and it looks to have slipped away from the once 2018 first-overall draft pick.

For Baker Mayfield though, it seems to have been a case of both lousy form and luck, after he was traded away by the Browns last season in favor of troubled quarterback Deshaun Watson and is not having to make a challenge for his starting spot ahead of Walker.

Twitter is often merciless to such mistakes made by quarterbacks, and Baker Mayfield has had to receive a lot of criticism on social media for his performances with the Panthers and that has simply aggravated such a rookie mistake from him.
