Colin Cowherd has now become the laughingstock on NFL Twitter after he came up with ‘Take of the year’ regarding Giants head coach Brian Daboll. The Fox Sports analyst assured Giants fans that their head coach is safe for another couple of years.
Speaking on his show The Herd with Colin Cowherd, Cowherd said that the Giants getting into playoffs secured Daboll’s career with them. “They (the Giants) look at themselves as organizationally strong, historically relevant, tradition-laden, they don’t want to just be banging around and moving around,” said Cowherd about the Giants. “So, I think they’ve made a decision upstairs, they’ve told Daboll ‘we’re not getting rid of you’, I think Daboll getting into the playoffs secures two more years in the contract for Brian.”
For context, Brian Daboll is a “Coach of the Year” frontrunner in just his first year as the HC of the New York Giants. So the idea that Daboll was ever in the hot seat this year is ridiculous. The former Bills offensive coordinator was hired as HC by the Giants in the 2022 off-season. He took a 4-13 Giants team and turned it into a winning team and got them into the playoffs for the first time since 2016.

NFL Twitter clowns Colin Cowherd for his Brian Daboll take
Fans on social media went savage mode to roast the Fox Sports analyst Colin Cowherd for his Brian Daboll take. In his show, The Herd with Colin Cowherd, he pointed out the obvious as he assured that Giants will not fire Brian Daboll.
NFL Twitter clowned Cowherd with sarcasm. “It’s a good thing Cowturd is here to clear these things up. I thought for sure Daboll was gone,” wrote one Twitter user sarcastically.
Brian Daboll, who previously worked with Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills, has been nothing short of magnificent as a first-year head coach. Daboll has turned this franchise around and got them back into the winning ways.
The Giants finished the season with a record of 9 wins, 7 losses, and 1 tied game. The New York-based franchise has managed to clinch the 6th seed in the NFC playoff picture. Furthermore, they will continue their hunt for the Lombardi Trophy when they face the NFL receiving yards leader Justin Jefferson and the NFC North division winners Minnesota Vikings in the wildcard week this Sunday.
