The Chiefs won the Super Bowl LVII. However, their win can go down as one of the most controversial wins of all time. There are strong speculations that the NFL is rigged and they wanted Patrick Mahomes to win the Super Bowl so they designed it that way.
The rumors have started to become stronger after watching some seriously controversial calls by the referees late in the game. One such call was the late holding penalty given to the Eagles with just seconds left on the clock.
The player in question who received the penalty was Eagles CB James Bradberry, who supposedly held Chiefs’ JuJu Smith-Schuster, eventually helping the Chiefs win the game.
With 1.54 minutes remaining on the clock, the ball was in the Chiefs’ possession and they were comfortably in the field goal range. Even if the pass would have gone incomplete and it would also give the Eagles some time to fight back. However, it all changed when Patrick Mahomes targeted the ball toward Smith-Schuster, who was held by Bradberry according to referees giving the Chiefs a first down.
The first down helped the Chiefs run down the clock as they scored the game-winning field goal with just 8 seconds remaining on the clock and cemented themselves in the history of the sport.
