“Most deserved contract in the league!” – NFL Twitter HAILS Cowboys boss Jerry Jones’ decision to give Zack Martin a new $36,000,000 contract

Dallas Cowboys’ All-Pro guard and team captain Zack Martin is widely considered to be the best guard in the NFL. He has made the Pro Bowl and an All-Pro team in eight of his nine season in the league. After a brief period of holding out of training camp, Martin and the Cowboys agreed on a reworked deal which will pay him $18 million each of the next two years.
Martin, 32, was initially set to receive $13.5 million this year and $14 million the next year. That made him the eighth-highest paid guard in the league. After the reworked deal, he will now jump up five spots and will be the third highest paid guard. Martin is one of the most important players for the Dallas Cowboys and the team has rewarded him for his consistent play over the years.
Social media was buzzing with this news. A lot of fans were happy to see Martin get paid and acknowledged Jerry Jones and the Cowboys’ front office decision for this deal. Martin will enter his tenth season in the league.
Martin was drafted 16th overall in the 2014 NFL Draft and has been one of the best O-linemen in the league since his rookie season. He was voted as the 68th best player on the NFL Top 100 players of 2023 and has started all 137 games in the NFL. With Martin back, the Cowboys have one of the best offensive line in the league and they will hope to start the season with a bang on week 1 against the New York Giants.

Can the Cowboys reach the Super Bowl behind a strong offensive line?
The Cowboys are a constant feature in the NFL postseason. They have a great roster filled with stars all around. One of the biggest reasons for their success though, is one of the best offensive lines in the league. They have players like Tyron Smith, Tyler Smith and Zack Martin to protect the quarterback Dak Prescott.
The only concern here will be the health of some of these players. Tyron Smith and Zack Martin are both 32 years old and injuries can be a major issue for these players, especially Smith who missed most of last season due to a hamstring injury.
The emergence of Tyler Smith has been noteworthy while RT Terence Steele will be ready to play after suffering from an ACL and MCL tear last season. The health of the offensive line will be key to the Cowboys’ Super Bowl aspirations and they will hope to start on a positive note come September.
