Los Angeles Chargers icon Philip Rivers is one of the best quarterbacks in NFL history. He played in the league for 17 years with 2 different teams. Furthermore, the talented quarterback is also known for having a big family. Philip and his wife Tiffany Rivers have had 9 children so far, and now are expecting their 10th child.
Philip Rivers’ youngest kid is 4 years old and the oldest is 21 years of age. And now, the 8-time Pro Bowl QB and his wife Tiffany are expecting a baby boy in the fall. Rivers, who is currently working as a high school football coach in Alabama revealed the news to AL.com on Wednesday at a 7-on-7 event in Daphne. Ala.
“We’ve had one pretty much every two years and now this is the longest gap,” Rivers said. “We are all fired up. Everyone was pulling for a boy. Even our girls wanted a boy.” Rivers further told the magazine that he and the missus have not picked a name for the new addition to the Rivers household. The Chargers icon said that he has “plenty of options” for the name. “We thought we would be the third generation of nine, but we decided to go double-digits — or I should say we didn’t decide it. God decided,” Rivers told AL.com.
Rivers will be entering his third year as the head coach at St. Michael in the upcoming seasons. He claimed that the entire Rivers family is “excited and ultimately just thankful” to welcome another child into their family.

The 41-year-old former NFL quarterback Philip Rivers expecting his 10th child with his wife Tanya has led to fans hilariously mocking him on social media. Philip Rivers was drafted by the New York Giants in the 1st round (4th overall) of the 2004 NFL Draft. But due to Eli Manning‘s unwillingness to play for the San Diego Chargers led to the Giants trading Rivers to San Diego in return for Manning.
Rivers went on to have a successful 16-year-long career with the Chargers. He received 8 Pro Bowl nods during his 16-year tenure with the Chargers but he was never able to win the coveted Super Bowl ring.
At the final stage of his career, Rivers had a one-year stint with the Indianapolis Colts in 2020. Following an average campaign with the Colts, the 6’5″ signal-caller hung his boots and became a high school coach in Alabama.
