The Miami Dolphins continued to improve their wide receiving stocks, as has been the general trend from the franchise this offseason. The Dolphins have now roped in Chosen Anderson on a one-year contract, to go alongside the likes of Braxton Berrios and River Cracraft, both of whom were signed earlier.
Anderson is a veteran and has played eight seasons in the NFL but hasn’t been as successful as he would have liked to be. The 29-year-old featured for both the Carolina Panthers and the Arizona Cardinals. He was acquired by the Cardinals in October last year, but the franchise released him in March after playing just 6 games with the franchise.
The Dolphins have a number of wide receivers of good quality this season, which also means that Anderson is not guaranteed to have a spot in the roster. He will have to ward off competition from the likes of Cedrick Wilson, Erik Ezukanma, and River Cracraft, if he is to make the final two receiving spots for the regular season.

Anderson will, however, be buoyed by the fact that he put up his career-best numbers of 1,096 yards, as recently as in 2020 during his time with the Panthers. Since then, it has been a struggle for him with the wide receiver managing a total of only 737 yards in the past 29 games.
Despite the huge drop in his performances, he received a huge vote of confidence from one of the best wide receivers in the entire NFL. Anderson’s teammate, Tyreek Hill, who himself made the move to the Dolphins last offseason, took to his Twitter account, approving the franchise’s decision to sign the veteran.
In a bold but short tweet, Hill wrote, “Yes Sir,” after Anderson’s signing was officially announced by the NFL’s official Twitter account. However, this wasn’t well received by fans on the social media platform who poked fun at him for approving the Dolphins’ signing Anderson. Check out a few of the tweets mocking Hill-
With Tua Tagovailoa as their quarterback, the Dolphins are doing everything they can at the moment to provide him with good pass receivers for the season as they look to improve from last year’s WildCard round finish.
