Chris Jones is an instrumental DT in the Kansas City Chiefs DT line. The 28-year-old is surely one of the best in his position and has adequate numbers to support that decision.

Therefore, now that his contract is up for an extension, many believe he will be one of the highest paid defensive linemen in the NFL. Jones has won two Super Bowl titles, has four Pro Bowl selections, and has also been part of the First Team All-Pro.

Jones has been significant for the Chiefs and it is reported that he will be eyeing a massive contract that makes him the 2nd highest paid DT in the league. Currently, the sport is held by the Tennessee TitansJeffery Simmons who gets paid $23.5 million each year.

The Chiefs DT wants to get paid more than that, but it is also believed that he won’t earn more than the LA Rams DT Aaron Donald who earns around $31.7 million each year.

A multi-year deal is surely on the cards for Jones, and the Chiefs will give him a decent contract to keep him on the team.
