Britt Reid has been sentenced to 3 years in prison for driving intoxicated and brutally injuring 5 people, including a little girl. Reid, son of Chiefs HC Andy Reid, was the assistant coach in the 2021-2022 season of the NFL.

The incident occurred in February 2021 when Britt Reid was driving his car intoxicated at around 85 mph, exceeding the prescribed speed limit. His truck hit multiple cars on an entry ramp which led to 6 people getting injured, including him, out of which one was a five-year-old girl who suffered a horrible brain injury.

The vehicles reportedly stood stationery due to an issue in them as Reid rammed both the vehicles with his truck. The former Chiefs assistant coach was heartbroken after the incident and is sentenced to 3 years in prison.

Britt Reid addressed the court before getting his sentence. “Every time I see my daughter, I think about Ariel and how my decision affected her so deeply and her family.”

It was a heartbreaking incident and Britt Reid pleaded guilty to all the charged and was sentenced to 7 years in prison, but it was later brought down to 3 years with probation.

NFL Twitter was furious with Britt Reid’s actions and was delighted when justice was served. The news of the former Chiefs assistant coach came as a relief to many people as they thought it was a huge win for the plaintiffs.

Many people weren’t satisfied with the punishment and thought he should have been given more years in prison for being irresponsible and putting others’ lives in danger.

Britt Reid used to be the assistant coach for the Chiefs but was later fired due to this incident. Currently, the Chiefs are performing brilliantly in the NFL and are on the path to challenge for the Super Bowl. They will face the Titans in their next game and will be looking to snatch a victory.
