“Too soft for AFC North”: Twitter goes bonkers after Hollywood Brown says that he’ll get more targets on the Cardinals

Marquise Hollywood Brown was traded to the Arizona Cardinals in exchange for the 23rd pick and a third-rounder in the 2022 NFL draft. Initially, the Baltimore Ravens QB Lamar Jackson was infuriated with the trade as the team had taken away yet another of his weapons, however, Brown had been plagued with injuries and was not available for a significant portion of last season.

Nevertheless, Hollywood Brown is optimistic about his new role as an Arizona Cardinal, “It’s not about the targets, it’s about the type of targets…I’ve been in an offense where I’ve been getting all the attention…I’m excited to get some one-on-one matchups and spread the field out.

Hollywood Brown believes he can excel in Arizona as he will get a lot of one on one opportunities

This statement by Brown may not have been the best one to make as what separates the elite NFL wideouts from the average ones is their ability to outrun and catch balls irrespective of the type of coverage. As expected, Twitter users had a field day with Brown’s comments.

Brown has not had the best track record as a WR for the Ravens, he has come up short on multiple occasions where he was expected to play well. Especially in the postseason. Another argument was that TE Mark Andrews usually bore the brunt of the defense while Brown was not getting as much attention on most occasions. Whenever he did, he was not at his best performance.

Here are some of the most hilarious tweets that followed Brown’s comments:

Ouch, that one ought to have hurt a bit.
Can’t argue with that.
Postseason Hollywood Brown is a menace, not in a good way.
As is the secret to the success of any exceptional Tight End or Wide Receiver.
