Watch: “Dirty a*s sh*t man,” NFL Twitter reacts to Mac Jones brutally kicking out at the crotch of Bears safety
The New England Patriots suffered a devastating defeat against the Chicago Bears in their Monday Night Football encounter, and have now slipped to a 3-4 record. The Patriots led by Mac Jones’ return, failed to keep up their two-match winning streak and suffered the horrendous defeat by a margin of 33-14.
The eventful match which marked the return of Max Jones also saw his departure as he was snubbed during the match. However, that wasn’t the most important or talked about moment of the match after he pulled off an odd bit of play on Bear’s safety, Jaquan Brisker.
Mac Jones might receive a fine from the NFL for his kick on Jaquan Brisker
Mac Jones was spotted kicking out at Brisker in what appeared to have been a deliberate bustle-off from the Patriots quarterback. After receiving the ball, the quarterback went on a seeming run but decided to slide in after covering a certain number of yards.
Right after he made the decision to slide in, he came up against Jaquan Brisker and launched into him. The 24-year-old then appeared to have a kick at Brisker right into the safety’s crotch, leaving the latter writhing in pain. It would be interesting to see whether the NFL decides to fine Jones for this incident, as has been the case mostly in the past.
Mac Jones was taken off by Bill Belichick after the head coach has seen enough of his mediocre performance, and brought out rookie quarterback Bailey Zappe, who has mesmerized one and all during the past few weeks, in which he has deputized over his senior pro.
However, despite being hooked off the pitch mid-game the only positive thing for Mac Jones was the fact that head coach Bill Belichick refused to name his starting quarterback for the rest of the season, although there have been numerous claims for Bailey Zappe to take over role recently.
Twitter Reactions to Mac Jones kicking out at Jaquan Brisker
Twitter clearly did not like Mac Jones reacting in frustration on the pitch and the general consensus on social media is that he should be fined for the act. Now, it is solely the NFL’s discretion whether they want to make him pay or let it go.
