Odell Beckham Jr. finally found a team to play for in the 2023 season!
On April 9, 2023, the Baltimore Ravens signed a one-year contract worth $18 million with OBJ. The star wide receiver played his last snap during Super Bowl LVI as part of the Los Angeles Rams. He scored a touchdown in that game, helping the Rams lift the Lombardi Trophy.
Since his ACL injury in Super Bowl, Beckham sat out the entire 2022 season. The Cowboys did show an interest in signing him midway through the season, but nothing materialized. In the offseason, Odell Beckham Jr. sparked a lot of controversies for his $20 million asking price.
Many fans and analysts believed that OBJ isn’t worth that much money after the injuries he’s had in his career. In the end, the Ravens did sign him on a contract that has a maximum payout of $18 million.
Odell Beckham Jr. can earn up to $3M in incentives

Odell Beckham Jr. signed a one-year $15 million contract with a $13.8 million signing bonus. The rest $3 million is tied up in incentives. For Receptions (non-cumulative), OBJ will receive $250,000 for 30 catches, $500,000 for 40 catches, $750,000 for 50 catches, and $1 million for 60 catches or lead the team in catches.
For Receiving Yards (non-cumulative), the breakdown is: $250K for 250 yards, $500K for 500 yards, $750K for 750 yards, and $1 million for 1000 yards or leads the team in receiving yards.
For Receiving Touchdowns: $250K for 3 TDs, $500K for 5 TDs, $750K for 7 TDs, and $1 million for 9 TDs or leads the team. These $3 million incentives bring his contract to $18 million. Here’s how fans reacted on Twitter to OBJ’s contract.
Judging by Odell Beckham Jr.’s previous seasons barring his injuries, there is a great probability that he earns the entire $3 million in incentives. Additionally, if Lamar Jackson decides to play quarterback on the franchise tag, then OBJ would be unstoppable. Let’s see how the opportunity turns out to be for Beckham. Does he play the best season of his career or succumb to injury once again?
