Tom Brady‘s abysmal season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers is over after they suffered a humiliating loss against Mike McCarthy‘s Dallas Cowboys on Monday Night Football. The Tampa Bay fans have relished the past three years since they had the legendary quarterback as their team’s signal caller and now after a hideous season, nobody’s sure what the future holds for the Bucs and Brady.
Their season started on an impressive front against the same Cowboys as they managed to beat Dak Prescott and Co. 19-3 on their season opener. However, it all went south from there as they dealt with injury struggles and poor execution all season long. The Tampa-based franchise’s off-season accumulations did not turn up well and their draft picks need time to settle down in this league.
And yet, somehow they managed to clinch the NFC South title and claimed a playoff spot as the division winners. Their week 17 game against the Carolina Panthers had given them a little optimism, and they were ready to face the 12-5 Cowboys in a wildcard game. The game exposed the Bucs for who they were, a poorly coached and uncoordinated team that lacks talent in the trenches. The game was a blowout and the Bucs have a long season ahead as they have to take care of their long list of key players who will be hitting the free agency market, including QB Tom Brady.
During the game, the refs did not call a lot of obvious penalties on the Cowboys, and even Brady at one point started yelling at them and social media took notice of it all as it happened.
NFL Twitter doesn’t feel bad for Tom Brady not getting any call against the Cowboys
NFL fans on social media took notice of Tom Brady yelling at the officials after not getting any calls throughout the game. Usually, in the playoffs, the refs will not call a lot of penalties since they don’t want to affect the flow of the game, but in this game, they missed some obvious penalties.
The 45-year-old had a reputation around the league for being tough and strong. There are numerous times in the past when he started to go off on his teammates or the officials when they weren’t doing their job in the right way.
After the game, the 23-year veteran abruptly ended his press conference with a thank-you note before walking off the podium in a hurry. This act of the QB has ignited speculations about the future of the 7-time Super Bowl champion.
